4. Nerve

2016 ‧ Thriller/Action ‧ 1h 36m

The saying “You’ve got some Nerve” is analogous to this movie plot where the main character, Vee, decides to join Nerve, a popular online game that challenges players to accept a series of dares decided by a live audience. If you fail to accept and perform the dare, you are out of the game.

A lightning-rod metaphor for how young adults interacts in the digital age, it is all fun and games living life on the edge, until the fun starts to take a sinister turn where dares become life threatening.

5. Now You See Me

Four street magicians, Daniel, Merritt, Henley and Jack, ransack a huge amount of money belonging to insurance baron Arthur Tressler while being chased by FBI agent Dylan and Interpol agent Alma. The crime scene is ingeniously covered with the illusion of a magic performance where in reality the audience are fooled by the polished show men and their ‘magic tricks’ as they put up a good show for law enforcers.

Now You See Me has 3 movies thus far, needless to say it has kept the audience well entertained.
